Your Treatment Care

After Your Endodontic Treatment

Following your endodontic treatment, you may experience a range of different sensations which are due to your tooth’s natural healing response. The healing process may take some time and will vary depending on the pre-treatment condition of the tooth. Please be patient, as it can take several weeks or occasionally longer for full resolution of symptoms. Contact us if you experience any new or recurring symptoms after treatment.

Your Endodontist will provide a personalised care plan to assist your healing. Tips for post-treatment care can be found
here.

Caring for You and Your Safety

We follow infection control guidelines outlined by the Dental Board of Australia and the Australian Dental Association. Where possible, we use single-use items—such as endodontic files—which are discarded after treatment. Reusable items are sterilised using a validated, multi-step process to eliminate bacteria, viruses, and other infectious agents.

Standard precautions include hand hygiene, gloves, masks, and protective eyewear. Sharp disposable instruments are immediately discarded to protect both you and our team from potential injury.

Sedation

For patients requiring assistance with anxiety or discomfort, we offer oral sedation to help you feel relaxed during treatment. Please speak to your Endodontist about suitable options. An information sheet detailing pre- and post-sedation care will be provided.

Our Technology

We use advanced technology to enhance treatment outcomes. This includes:

Digital Radiography

Digital x-rays provide enhanced images using lower radiation doses. Images are transmitted instantly to our systems and can be digitally adjusted for better diagnostic clarity.

The Operating Microscope

Surgical operating microscopes magnify up to 25x, allowing us to detect hidden canals, blockages, and cracks that would otherwise be missed. Early detection supports better planning and prognosis.

Electronic Apex Locators

These devices help determine root canal length more accurately than x-rays alone. We use both tools together to ensure optimal precision.

Rotary Nickel Titanium Instruments

These flexible instruments, used alongside antibacterial solutions, allow more predictable shaping and cleaning of the root canal system while reducing the risk of complications.

Ultrasonic Instruments

Used to locate canals, agitate cleaning solutions, and remove obstructions, ultrasonic tools enhance disinfection and surgical accuracy for root-end procedures.
